A Makeup Forever Halloween

"Makeup Forever is the story of Dany Sanz, a painter and sculptor who became a makeup artist and makeup creator. Working with other professional makeup artists from the beginning, she aimed to meet their specific artistry needs by creating a line of products that could be used accross every category of the arts."

When searching for true professional products with pigment so true and quality to out last any other, Makeup Forever is truly a makeup pioneer. As a professional Makeup Artist I cannot say enought great things about the line and what it has brought to our industry. I can use the products on everyday women to the most extreme makeup look.

Here is a picture of makeup that I had created this year for a client, DJ Ritz.

To create this look I used all Makeup Forever products, which are shown below.

Makeup Forever's Flash Color Creams http://www.sephora.com/, $95. are very smooth and extremely pigmented. I set all of the Flash Color with the HD Loose Powder, http://www.sephora.com/
$34. which helped the makeup look to last all day.

Stay Healthy With Beauty

With the cold and flu season quickly approaching us, it's time to start taking a double dose of our vitamins. With our busy and fast pased lifestyles, sometimes we are not always able to eat like we should be to get all of the vitamins that we need from our food. That's where a multi-vitamin comes in! There are so many on the market, so how do you know if your vitamin is up to par? Make sure that your multi is food-based, versus being made of synthetic ingredients that our body will not recognize. One of my favorite vitamins made of organic food is Real Food Organics.

I never thought I'd see the day when my beauty products would help to prevent me from getting sick. Well now they can! I have come accross a couple products this month that I have been very impressed with. The first is Bite Vitamin Gel, http://www.sephora.com/ $18.00. This vitamin infused lip gel is not only moisturizing, but it also contains essential oils to help enhance your mood as well as a high dose of multi-vitamins. Each tube of gel contains the same amount of  resveratrol as 5 glasses of red wine. Resveratrol is type of phenol that is naturally produced by plants when they are under attack by bacteria. Know for it's remarkable anti-aging effects, resveratrol, is also known to be an anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory and an agent to help lower your blood sugar level. This is a must have for this Winter with a smooth and moisturizing texture, you can't go wrong!

Second on my list for a must have that I have been using non stop for my son and I is, Clean Anti-Bacterial Moisturizing Hand Cream. http://www.sephora.com/ $10 This hand cream can fight 99.9% of bacteria for up to 4 hours! It contains grape seed oil, jojoba oil, avocado oil and Cotton Vantage technology which all help to moisturizer the skin and protect from harsh dry weather.

Stay healthy this year!

Tom Ford Beauty

Fashion Designer, Tom Ford, has recently launched a full cosmetic line that he claims only contains the essentials. He told WWD, "I don't like B.S. and a lot of promises, and there are a lot of products out there you don't even need. My brain works in the same way whatever I do. The approach is practical, architectural and I use the same vocabulary whether I'm designing clothing or cosmetics."

He says his starting point for the collection was facial structure and the importance of creating the illusion of symmetry. He said, "You need to understand the face and compensate for the architecture of the face. A nice thick brow is the key to a youthful look." A man after my own heart!

Each lipstick is retailed at $48.00 and includes the exclusive TF logo embedded in each lipstick.

The pricey and luxurious line is available at http://www.nordstrom.com/ and http://www.saks.com/.

YSL Is All Grown Up!

With the age of 30 quickly approaching, I have found myself growing out of lip gloss in the last year or two. I really don't want my lips to be sparkly or obnoxiously shiny at this point in my life. At a recent visit to the MAC counter, a makeup artist and I were talking about lip gloss and I told him that I felt I had grown out of my lipglass. He pulled out MAC Cremesheen, which I had tried before and really like how the texture was smooth and creamy without being tacky or sticky. I also liked the fact that there were no sparkles! He called Cremesheen "Big Girl Gloss" and I was sold!

A lipgloss tube is wonderful, but again being almost 30 and working hard for what I have, I feel proud and love to buy quality items and take care of what I own. Packaging can really sell a woman! YSL has come out with a happy medium between "Big Girl Gloss" and lipstick which is packaged in a white gold tube with rose gold detailing. What woman would not love to pull this beauty out of her cosmetic bag? I am not ready to commit to the pigmented color and precision of a lipstick, so YSL's new Volupte Sheer Candy has been a new favorite of mine. With the shine of a gloss and the moisture of a lip balm, Volupte Sheer Candy is a an easy way to look polished without being over done. You can find YSL at http://www.sephora.com/ for $30.00 each.
Volupte Sheer Candy is available in 6 shades:

Lush Coconut

Dewy Papaya

Juicy Grapefruit

Luscious Cherry

Mouthwatering Berry

Succulent Pomegranate

The new scent is said to be described as "haunting and sensual" and " a fatal flower". Created for the mysterious and fascinating woman, Dahlia Noir sounds like a scent I need to add to my collection. The visual is stunning with model Mariacarla Boscono and sure to inspire any woman to bring out her inner noir.
